A majority of our guests stayed here and the rooms were nothing short of magnificent!! It was totally worth every penny to stay here!! We ended up getting upgraded to the suite for the weekend and had a better time than I could have ever imagined!! The décor is modern, the showers are fantastic, and the beds were super comfy!! Our suite had a huge Jacuzzi tub in it and by the time we got back to our room they had drawn a bath for us and sprinkled rose petals around the room. There was also complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to nibble on!! I can't wait to go back there for our anniversary!!From: spacekatmel
A+ ~~ We stayed at the Argosy as well as several of our OOT guests. Post reception we moved the party over to the gambling floor, the guests LOVED it! Many left the reception a little early and were ready for us to head over. The room was awesome! VERY pretty! Granted we only slept there from about 4 am to 11 am but..... It was a nice accommodation for our OOT guests. Many commented on how fun the casino was and how nice the room was... NOONE was disappointed!Chateau Avalon

Only 'vendor' I would not recommend. We got there about 1:30a and had to 'bang' on the door and call as the doors are locked. The desk staff was rude - I booked the room online and DH's brother came in and paid for the room as a gift. They never told us until I questioned the receipt the following morning - they charged US and HIM and I had already paid online!!!! The room was unique but unclean. There were sunflower seeds on the floor! Grade withheldDoubletree

Wedding NightA ~~ Our room was nice and they had a cheese and cracker tray ready for us when we checked in. Nothing fancy but we were exhausted and ready for a comfy bed.

D ~~ Where to even begin...first, when I went to set it up, they freaked me out by saying the entire hotel is booked for the Big 12 tournament -- even though the tournament was in OK City and the next weekend! After finally getting that resolved (they had to unblock it), I thought it was going to be great, boy was I wrong! My sister, only the second person to book rooms, is told that the block is filled. I call to find out what is wrong, and basically, they had entered the block wrong in the computer! So, they had to completely re-do it. Great, problems over. NOPE! A few days before the block was to be closed, someone else told me that they were being told the blocks were filled. Interesting since they told me from the beginning that the blocks would never get filled up. When forming a block, you have to at least block 10 rooms and you have to guarantee 80% of those rooms -- so 8 rooms. We had no problem with that. Especially since we were told once we hit those 10 rooms, they would automatically add 5 rooms on, and continue to do that, but we did NOT have to guarantee past those 8 rooms. No big deal, we knew we’d have 8 rooms without a problem! So, when people were being told the block was filled, I called up, and the woman I talked to said "oh, we can’t automatically add rooms on, your mistaken." Uhm, no, I have that in my contract! She replied, "oh, we can ADD rooms, but you have to tell us to." Okay, great. SO, I told them to add the rooms! And, the only reason they don’t have a "F" is because they then allowed me to give them a list of people that I had been told were booked, and added them all to the hotel block (so they could get the discounted rate). Okay, so the block date expired, no more problems, right? WRONG! I’ve had a lot of complaints about rooms -- a lot were too hot, a lot of balcony doors wouldn’t close, and since it snowed that morning and it was cold, their rooms were freezing! My new BIL was charged for some movies and food they didn’t order -- they did get that resolved quickly, but then my MIL was charged TWICE for her room -- once at check in and then at check out -- ON HER DEBIT CARD! Luckily, she didn’t have any over drafts, but it took her almost 2 weeks to get it resolved! Now, PLEASE do not let the bad hotel experience effect your use of their reception halls. The thing is, Embassy Suites has 2 different companies -- 1 that runs the hotel (Hilton) and then 1 that is in charge of the banquet rooms and events. So, although the hotel left something to be desired, I would still recommend the reception venue!

A ~~ I actually went to highschool with a girl that works there...I didn't know until she called me saying she saw my name. She completely hooked us up w/ some awesome rooms!!! We had a brunch there the next morning and she put us in the top floor suite w/a view of the city. Highly Recommend! From: drewie

D ~~ The only reason they’re not getting an F is that the suite worked perfectly for us getting ready in the morning. First off, when my parents checked in on Thursday, they were told they had 2 rooms reserved. They did not (and I have the reservation list from the Hyatt to prove it). My brother wanted his own room, so they went ahead and took both. Then they were given the key to a room, that they discovered upon entering, was occupied. Nice. When my MOH and I went to check in on Friday, we got there at 2:50, 10 minutes before their stated 3:00 check in time. We were told that the room was “in the process of being cleaned”, and for me to leave a cell number and they’d call me when it was done. My dress and a ton of other stuff was already on one of the bell carts, so there was no way I was leaving the hotel with it sitting there, and I told them we’d be in the lobby. At 3:15 we still hadn’t heard anything, so we went back up to the counter and were told the room was still "in the process of being cleaned", and that they were running behind because the people who had it the night before had late check out. Late check out is 1:00. So I went a little bridezilla and was like “Listen! I have my wedding rehearsal at 6, I haven’t showered all day, and I would like to relax just a little bit”. The lady went in some back room and came back out and said that the housekeeping manager was going up to the room, and it would be ready in 5 minutes. 5 minutes ticked by, then 10, then 15, then 20. Finally half an hour had passed, and my MOH went up to the desk and laid the smack down. We were given 2 free breakfast passes and passes for free valet service, and the key to our room. It was quite obvious the room had been cleaned in a hurry, the chairs weren’t straightened, there was a coffee stain on the counter, etc. There was also no fridge in the room. Our contract stated that if we had more than 50 room nights reserved with our block, we’d get one night of our stay comped, and we’d have champagne & chocolate dipped strawberries in the room, and we’d get free valet parking. We had 53 rooms booked, and were charged for both nights, parking, and got no champagne and strawberries. Also, DH and I went up to Skies after we got back to the hotel around 11, still in our wedding attire. We were seated, and never once approached by a server in the 15 minutes we sat there before going back to our room.

A+++ ~~ I cannot say enough about how well we were treated at the Hyatt. They got us every little thing we needed, including extension cords the AM of so we could plug in all the hairdryers, curling irons and other crazy stuff all us girls needed. They had all of our OOT bags organized and properly distributed to the guests. They brought us champagne glasses so we'd have something to drink mimosas out of while getting ready. They also provided a shuttle for us to take pictures at NO CHARGE, and they also shuttled our guests back and forth from Club 1000 at NO CHARGE. Mason and I got our wedding night room free because we had so many guests stay there (over 40 room nights.) Great experience!

A+ ~~ Holiday Inn is where my family and I stayed the night before the wedding and it was great. Beth Handley, the sales rep, didn't charge me for the 4 mini fridges we needed for our flowers and the rooms were clean and nice. From: lawgalkc

A- ~~ There aren't many hotels in Leavenworth and HIE is the nicest one in Leavenworth. They gave me a rate of $80 per room for our room block which is a $10 discount on the regular rate. We also decided to use their banquet room for our Rehearsal Dinner and Hospitality room. They charged me $100 for 4 hours on Friday and 4 hours on Saturday. They allowed us to store leftovers from RD in their fridge to be used for the Hospitality room on Saturday. The reason for the "-" is because they went through several staffing changes in the last year and two days before the wedding I was told I could not have the banquet room as they were using it for storage. After speaking with the GM we got it sorted out and I got the room as planned. From: LoLo2006

B+ ~~ The reason they don't get an A is because we had an annoying time trying to get the list of guests a few weeks before our wedding. For some reason, they couldn't seem to get all of our guests on a print out, so some people never looked like they booked under our party at that rate, etc. And they weren't the friendliest about changing it. Other than that, the location and the pool were great, as was the bar and the restaurant! All of our guests seemed to be happy because they could walk to the Plaza and everyone ended up hanging out and eating/drinking out by the pool most days. Would recommend them, just make sure they get your guest list straight!

Wedding NightA+ ~~ We stayed at the Hotel Phillips the night we got engaged, so we thought it was perfect to stay there the night of the wedding. When DH told them it was our wedding night they upgraded our room for free and we ended up staying in a suite on the top floor. When we arrived at 3am after the after party, our room had been decorated with roses, chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne. There was also a sweet note from the manager and they had “mood music” playing. The beds at Hotel Phillips are amazing, we slept in so late the next morning!

Wedding NightBeautiful! This was a gift from my Aunt and at the recs of other brides. I would love to stay there again.

Wedding NightA ~~ It is a beautiful hotel and has great prices. The room was alright, nothing too special or fancy, but we got the Breakfast in Bed package, which was wonderful! Breakfast is included in the price, and they bring it to your room (or you can go down to the restaurant - but why would you want to??) The breakfast was delicious!

Wedding Night Hotel/Day After Brunch LocationRoom (B), Brunch (D) ~~ The room was ready on time, had a great view and was clean. No real complaints about the room itself, but we had a horrible time trying to get champagne glasses delivered to our room. We also had Sunday brunch there for our BP and OOT guests - the room was FILTHY from a party the night before, they didn’t provide the staff that was in our contract and the food was mediocre at best. Plus, they lost the floral arrangements that were delivered the night before. Would probably stay at the hotel again but would NEVER have an event there.
