C- ~~ I like Debra and her husband a lot, and our pictures are okay, I was just a bit underwhelmed by what we ended up with. We haven’t ordered our album prints yet so I’ve just seen singles we’ve ordered, I just felt there were some things we missed-like centerpieces stuff like that at the reception. Also, (and I noticed this at my SIL’s wedding in March who used a more $$$ photographer), I know I like the whole “photojournalistic” vibe of pictures, but I think regardless most everyone wants some formals of the wedding party, etc. Our pictures of the whole wedding party could have used some help with people’s spacing and making sure you could see everyone. Also, with that our wedding was at CCCC, I felt there were some really beautiful backgrounds that could have been utilized and our big family pictures are instead on the side wall of the church. I just thought more thought would be given to backgrounds, I guess. Our photos are on abundantmoments.com, under online viewing, weddings, mike and Katrina. **update: We received our order and the prints are terrible: blurry and the black and white photos have stripes on them (don’t know how to describe it except for that the look like a**. )

I absolutely loved Debra and Greg. If anyone is comtemplating using them, do it!!! They showed up at 12:30 for our 7:00 wedding and stayed until we left at 11:30. They got every shot I had been dreaming about for over three years and then some. Her and her husband do some really neat things together that makes for some really cool pictures. So many people told me they loved our photographers and how professional they were. When they were ready to take the formal shots with the wedding party and the family, they were not shy. They did not hesitate to tell people to get out of the way if they were in their shot or to tell people what to do and how to do it. I don't mean in a bossy way either, just professional! If you want to see the pictures to see what they can do, go to www.abundantmoments.com and click on on-line viewing, then weddings, then Bryce and Bessa. From: MrsKsTwo
Debra and her husband Gregory are so amazing, so talented, and so much fun! They really know what they are doing and keep everyone on schedule. They are like having “day of” coordinators and photographers all in one!! They boss people around when need be (like when your always-late cousin is still applying makeup and you are supposed to be leaving for the church!!) and then you don’t have to!!! It’s great! And they really do enjoy what they are doing – they just have so much fun!! They have recently added on an assistant – Nicole – and she was fantastic also! She did our hair pics at the salon. I didn’t expect to have any pro pics at the salon b/c I didn’t think we had booked enough hours to fit it all in….…but there she was when we got there! It was fantastic!!! Another great things is the turn-around time. She guarantees that they will post on the website within 2 weeks, ours were posted 9 days after the wedding!! We got home from our HM on Sunday 8/6 and out of curiosity – I checked the website! There they were!!!! We sat up for the next 2 hours looking through all of them!!!!! The pictures are so much fun I just keep looking at them and looking at them!!
Our package comes with a storybook album and some print credits. We finalized all of our album picks on Sunday September 17th - so hopefully we will have an album before Christmas! [2006] I will update this review when we get our album!
We also ordered our “Thank You” cards from her. They are VERY nice and very well done. We have received so many compliments on them!! I’m glad we decided to do this!!!
The only thing I can say that I wasn’t 1000% percent happy about is that we don’t get all of our pictures and the copyrights for 6 months. This wouldn’t be such a big deal except it was NOT in any of our written paperwork. From conversations, we were led to believe that we would get a CD with all of our pictures (wedding and e-pics) shortly after the wedding. We had planned to do some fun Christmas gifts using our wedding pics. Well, after a few emails – we are told that they aren’t released until 6 months after the wedding. It was at that point that I went back over all of our correspondence to see if I had missed that somewhere. Nope ~ not written anywhere! This came as a complete shock and we are not very happy about it. But their work is phenomenal – our day will FOREVER be remembered with the help of gorgeous pictures and we are glad that we will definitely be getting all the digital files at some point – we just wish it had been stated from the beginning.

A+ ~~ I have gotten so much awesome feedback from the wedding party and my guests about Isabel and Thet. They were perfect. I didn't have to worry about a thing. You never noticed they were there and got pictures of everything before being asked!
From: ErinE683
Our engagement pictures deserve an A+. We enjoyed working with them at the wedding, and for the most part they just stayed out of the way, busy "catching the moments". They did get lost on the way to the reception, but if their pictures turn out at all like the epics, then they'll be instantly forgiven. More to come...
From: FutureMrsJL
Isabel and Thet are so sweet and welcoming. They'll go above and beyond. They spend a lot of time on each couple, so it takes long to get stuff back, but it's worth it.
From: KS*sparkler*
Isabelle was wonderful! I haven't seen the proofs yet, but she showed me pictures throughout the day on her camera screen and I loved them. I wanted to do bridal party pics around town, but it rained all day, so Isabel came up with some great indoor locations and also braved the rain to do some of the outdoor locations as well. The negatives--she takes 6-8 weeks to post proofs then 8 months to get your album out to you. Also, she does very similar poses with all of her groups, so my pictures won't exactly be unique. But, she did have some great ideas and I know that I won't be disappointed with our pictures.

A++ ~~ Haven’t seen the formal pics yet, but I did see a few day of, and I know they will be gorgeous! Isabel and Thet are fantastic, work their tails off, and do beautiful work.

Pictures are not back yet so I will post a grade later.. Although Isabel and Thet are AMAZING – they showed us some of the pictures they had taken and they were so beautiful! They have such an amazing eye that it just stuns me when I see their pictures.. I felt really rushed with the pre-ceremony pictures so I will be interested to see if that comes through the pictures. But the pictures after the ceremony were so much fun with just DH, myself, Isabel and Thet! They are so fun to work with but leave PLENTY of time for pictures - you will want them to really take their time, which they like to do! :D Highly recommended so far!
From: mrsmolly*
A+ ~~ We purchased package five before the prices went up. Our engagement pictures were so wonderful that we chose to have way too many printed. We just couldn’t choose. We have not seen our professional wedding photos yet, but we already know they will be amazing. Isabel & Thet are extremely talented and will go to the ends of the Earth to get a good shot if necessary. They shot our rehearsal and dinner the night before. On the day of our wedding Isabel came to the salon with the girls and Thet went to the restaurant for lunch with the boys. Both of them were with us from 11 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. when we made our grand exit. I saw them from time to time, but they really blended in and never stuck out. At one point, my Dad saw Isabel lying on the concrete outside and wondered what she was doing. I told him that she was probably trying to get a cool shot. He was happy and felt that was above and beyond his expectations. If you’re good enough to impress my Dad, then you’re awesome in my book! Several guests commented on what a good job they were doing and wondered if they could get the contact info. My newly engaged sister was heartbroken when she found out our date was booked so I recommend booking way ahead if you want them. I really feel like we had some of the best photographers in the KC Metro area. I’ll update when we receive our proofs and album but they were one of our favorite vendors throughout this whole process.
From: Mrs_W
B ~~ The only reason they aren't getting an A is because they took FOREVER! to get our pictures posted. It's been two years and we still don't have our album or any pictures, but we've been too lazy to meet with them to pick them out. But overall, Isabel and Thet were absolutely WONDERFUL! I was running very, very late and Thet kept the boys busy while they drank and waited on me! We missed all our our outdoor pictures before the ceremony (due to a problem with the site) but Isabel took us outside for a few quick shots before the reception. It was so nice to have those few minutes to relax with Jeremy. And of course, they were everywhere and everyone kept complimenting them! I had two lockets on my bouquet with a picture of our mom's and we didn't have the pictures in when Isabel was taking pictures of the flowers - so she came by my house two days after the wedding to get a picture of them because she knew it was an important detail she couldn't miss!!!!! I expected them to be good, but they exceeded my expectations!! We had a lot of stuff go wrong but they made our day GREAT!!! They are sooooo sweet and so professional. Everyone loved them! There were so many little details I didn't get to see - I don't even know where my guest book was sitting, etc. and I know that they captured every little detail of the day!
From: wilsontobe
A ~~ Thet and Isabel were with us all day, and they were all over the place taking pictures. I can’t imagine that they missed any detail. We met them at the church, and took a few posed shots before the ceremony, and then they followed us to Loose Park and the Meyer Boulevard fountain for more pictures. They even followed us to the HyVee liquor store when we needed to reload the trolley with some booze! I’m sure the pictures will turn out fantastic – given the past reviews on this board, I can’t imagine them being any less than fantastic!

A ~~ Amy has been so great to work with. The day of the wedding, they were very professional, but still had a fun attitude. They put up with our crazy families. When I asked Amy to climb onto the roof of the venue to take a giant picture of the entire wedding (all guests) she didn't even hesitate in saying yes, she was even excited about it! The pictures are more traditional, and not as much photojournalistic, which may not appeal to some, but we weren't looking for much of that. We just wanted nice photographs, for a decent price, and that's exactly what we got. Particularly, we got unlimited wedding day coverage, with 2 photographers, online proofing, copyright and a CD of all proofs, and a wedding album, all for a very decent price.

A+ ~~ I'm biased because Alyssa is one of my very best friends but she really is a great photographer. I haven't gotten my proofs back yet so this review is based on how the day went. Alyssa took about a million pictures and got everything we wanted. She worked through the entire reception (even though I told her that I wanted her to have fun and be there as my friend as well) and even took some more posed family shots during the reception with more distant relatives that weren't there for formal pics before the ceremony. Because she has only had her studio open for a little over a year, her prices are great compared to a lot of other photographers. Even if she weren't my friend, I would highly recommend her to anyone!

A+ ~~ Unfortunately he no longer does weddings, we were his last... but his commercial and portrait photography has taken off! So if you are looking for a good portrait or boudoir pix he is good to work with! Many models I know have comments on his professionalism when doing some risqué shoots. He has great visions! I saw a few pix last night and cannot wait to see the rest! His price was very reasonable!

A+ ~~ LOVED her. As mentioned before, I liked that her personality was very easy-going and it was exactly what I needed that day. I can't wait to see pics. She said she's working on a website. Can't wait for that. I would highly, highly recommend her.
From: malaika
A ~~ Heather was nice and very easy to work with and I LOVE the photos! The only reason I'm not giving her an A+ is because she was about 10 minutes late to the church to start the photography and she was not always as prompt with communication as I would have liked. But she did excellent work and gave us all the decent photos (not just the edited ones) on a CD with full distribution rights.
From: missmlt
A ~~ Heather did an excellent job, she was reasonably priced, and she was great to work with. I loved my pictures and I wouldn't change hiring her. In the moment of the wedding I think we were less aggressive in getting a lot of the family pictures and bridal party, I would have liked more interesting arrangements of people for those, but I didn't ask for it so that is partly my problem.
If you want a reasonable, reliable photog that will give you great pictures and all the images and rights Heather is a great choice. I don't think her photojournalistic photography is quite up to par with some of the other KC photogs, but I think she will only get better in this area.
From: mothchick
A+++ ~~ First let me start by saying photography was the single most important thing to me about the wedding. I had a ton of requirements about my pictures. 1. I HAD to have the digital rights to my pictures and 2. I wanted someone who would be available for most of the day vs. the 4/6 hr time limit I saw on most photographers’ packages. 3. The last thing was I needed someone who didn’t charge an arm and a leg for their services.
I called around to various photographers but they were either booked or didn’t meet my requirements. Fortunately some knottie recommended Heather. She was there all day and almost didn’t leave. I practically had to order her to go home!! I got my pictures back on Friday and they were great. I have about 200 pictures that she had edited and 700 unedited (outtake) pictures. Granted I love all of the edited pics but there’s probably about 20 that I really wanted There and I got ALL of my pictures she took, not just the edited ones. You can see my pictures on youtube You can't beat the price and I love my pics!! I would recommend Heather to anyone.

A++ ~~ Wow! She was great! Picking a photographer was my biggest stressor. In fact, DH and I met with that horrible KC chick and thank goodness, he didn't like her. Anyway, everyone I called that I had read about from you all was booked. She was the only photog I met with that DH did not get to meet so that made me nervous too. I don't even know how I found her, may have been an internet search. She was awesome and her prices are very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was one of my favorite vendors. She gave us over 500 4x6 proofs to keep, we get all pictures set to a slideshow with music and we have a credit to purchase prints or albums. We are also going to get a disc with the images and the rights. We can use our credit for that also.

C ~~ Quinn & Jandra Hancock are very nice people. But honestly after our engagement pics I was pretty worried. To make an appt for our e-pics it took 2 weeks. Quinn does the pics and Jandra takes care of the business side. Jandra also works during the day at a different job. They are hard to get a hold of b/c Quinn doesn't answer the phone during the day. You have to leave a message and wait for Jandra to call you back. That got frustrating!! They were very flexible w/ us though. We always had to meet w/ them at weird times like when we drove into KC on a Friday night. For the e-pics they have you come to their house to view them, they don't do any pics online. I realized now that the online pics would've worked better for us since we live hours away, but I liked how they don't have packages. You pay for the # of hours you want them for your wedding. And it all goes to the cost of the pictures/albums you order. For e-pics you pay for the pics you order and that's it. They require a meeting w/ the bride and groom a month b/f the wedding to go over BP, parents and grandparents and any special pictures you want. We had originally planned to meet Memorial Day morning, but I had sprained my ankle the night before so we had to reschedule to the Monday b/f the wedding. They had an infant daughter that they couldn't find a baby-sitter for and asked if it would be okay that they bring her to the wedding and a nanny to watch her. We gave them the okay but I was still wondering if it would affect their service and/or quality. Truefully, I never even noticed. They were both so helpful the day of the wedding. My ankle was still a little swollen from the sprain, so Jandra was constantly making sure I was ok, getting me water and made sure I was sitting as much as possible. I asked them to get pics of my nieces and nephews (which were also my FGs & RBs). Jandra helped Quinn in getting the unposed pics of them. Jandra also served as a 2nd photog and helped keep everything on schedule. Like our entrance, toast and first dance. They are both very friendly and easy to talk to in person. I say in person b/c I never talked to Quinn on the phone and talking on the phone w/ Jandra is a little awkward and she's very short w/ her words. On their website they promise to wear all black so that they don't stand out. They did as they promised but they were pretty underdressed for what I expected. The attire for our wedding was less for than most weddings and I still thought they were a little underdressed for the occassion. Guess I just expected a more professional dress from them. Another little thing is that Quinn likes to tell a lot of stories. Don't get me wrong it's nice to have a photog that is easy to talk to, but when I'm paying you to take pictures I want you to take pictures and not be occupied w/ telling me stories. Overall I was pleased w/ their service, but if I had it to do over again I would've gone w/ someone else like Allure.

A+++++ ~~ I LOVED JESSICA!!! She was definitely one of my favorite vendors. I got to know her well. Her look and feel is awesome, and she has such a sense of artistry when it comes to her photos. She did our e-pics, my b-pics and of course our wedding day. I love all of our photos, it is going to be very hard to choose! We did buy the rights to them, so we will have them all on CD next week.
From: ToddysGirl
A for photography / C for service ~~ We loved the way our wedding pictures turned out!! Jessica has great suggestions for locations and makes you feel at ease during the shooting. She has different packages for different price ranges and she has an option to purchase the rights to the images, which we did. We didn't even notice her at the ceremony or reception- she's stealthy!
Update: I have a huge problem with the way Epaga Foto does the wedding album for the bride and groom. Jessica outsources the album to a graphic designer. After you choose the pictures you want in the album, the designer puts it together and sends you a proof. At this point you are able to make any changes to it. However, you are only allowed 10 changes at no charge. Changes include resizing, color change, moving a picture, switching out a picture, adding a picture, etc. After your 10 free changes there is a $5 charge for each additional change. I had 24 changes after I saw the first proof. Then I found out it would cost another $70 to make all the changes I wanted to MY wedding album that was INCLUDED in the wedding package. I had to cut down the number of changes to the album because I wasn't about to pay any more money for something that was included in the original purchase. When I informed the photographer about my displeasure she offered to split the cost of the changes with me- which I did not take her up on because as I said previously, I didn't want to spend any more money on this. We haven't received the finished product yet but will update again when I do.

She is very talented and so far she has been great to work with. She did my b-pics, and made me feel very comfortable and at ease, and beautiful! The album turned out amazing! I think she was as excited to do them as I was! She also took engagement pics, which turned out wonderful, and we had a blast doing them! She brought two other photographers to the wedding and they all worked so hard. So many people commented on how thorough they were. Later I found out that Penny had pneumonia on our wedding day, and I had no idea because she still did such a great job! I have yet to see the wedding pictures, but I know they will be absolutely beautiful.

Incredibly talented. His personality fit well with our family and friends - friendly, but not over-the-top woo woo look at me! Our photos are amazing. He will NOT have your photos up the next day on his blog - but it's so worth the wait. Our proofs are all fully retouched. We're still putting together our album; we opted for a traditional album instead of a storybook style, just based on our own personal preferences. He is great with kids. And, we were never aware of him being there once the ceremony started. He knows the Hawthorne House like the back of his hand, and really lends credence to selecting a photographer who knows your venue. He even went up a couple of days before to see how the leaves were turning and find the best places to shoot. Highly recommend, and will continue to use him for family photography for years to come.

Tentative A ~~ Okay, haven’t seen the pictures yet, so its only a "tentative." Our engagement pictures were awesome, so I have really high hopes! Mary arrived at about 7:30 am and stayed till about 11. She said she would be the “last person to leave” but our party had started to die down and we weren’t doing an exit, so she asked if she could leave a little early and I told her no problem! The only reason she’s at an A right now instead of an A+ is because I had given her a list of “must take” pictures, and she didn’t have it and I’ve since realized we didn’t take all the pictures I wanted taken -- for instance, a pictures of me, DH, his parents and my parents all in one picture! Oh well, what can you do now, but when I first realized it, I was really upset! I will let you know an “updated” review once I see the pictures!

A+ ~~ Communication with Jason and Alison was always very easy through email, they always responded quickly to any email went sent them. From: rose4jc2
Jason was one of the best parts of my wedding day. From the moment he arrived he made me feel completely at ease. He is friendly and creative and very professional. He graciously dealt with family members eager to take their own pictures and throw out advice for how he should do his job! My thanks go to him for making it such a stress-free and enjoyable day. We are more than pleased with our photos and feel like he really captured the feel of our day.

I love Jason! Relaxed, laid back and most importantly...fun! Another realie recommendation! I am yet to get all of my pictures (it has only been two weeks), but the five on the blog are absolutely beautiful. I never had a doubt that Jason would do an amazing job capturing my day. 30 minutes before the ceremony, I was an absolute mess. He calmed me down and kept me moving. He is so creative and has such a great eye. Get him cheap while you can! There is no doubt in my mind that he will be one of the most sought after photographers in the area within the next couple of years.

A+ ~~ I loved our engagement photos so I was so excited to see our wedding photos. We had beautiful weather and beautiful locations for the ceremony and the reception. The Solars completely capitalized on that and our pictures are beautiful! We got some great shots of the bridal party outside of the Nelson. We haven’t finished our album yet, but we have seen the finished images online. The Solars captured so many awesome moments between DH and me, and between guests at the reception, especially our families. There are so many “hon*st” shots where people look so natural in whatever they are doing. LOVE the Solars!
From: gregsgal922
As usual they were amazing! They were there early and stayed an extra hour at DH's request. Highly recommended to all brides.
From: i_heart_james
A+ ~~ They did a great job! We got awesome pictures of us and our families. The only thing I didn't get was pics of some of our family. It wasn't their fault since I forgot to give them specifics about who to get pics of and someone to show them who those people were. I did give them a list of family that I wanted to try to get in a group picture but we didn't have time for them. We did get great pictures and there were only a few that I didn't find flattering (which is a big deal for me).
From: JoelandLayna
A++++++++++++++ ~~ I can't say enough good things about Josh and Jenny. They are fun to be around. They do great work. They got our bridal party pumped up at 7:00 in the morning. And they came out with us the night of the wedding just to hang out as friends. Upon showing up at our nighttime get together, they gave us a mini album of pictures they had taken that morning of the wedding! They are by far the best investment of our entire wedding. Highly recommend them!
From: ktgolfs
Josh and Jenny were just awesome! I love our wedding pictures and you CAN NOT beat their prices. They were so accomodating all day long and they were "on" from 11:00 am - 10:00 pm. We have so many pictures and we "own" them too! I am excited to put our albums together.

A+++ ~~ Wow. Josh and Jenny are so talented. They did an amazing job of capturing the day and all the emotions that went with it! I have received so many compliments on our pictures, they turned out much more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. They were with us from 9:00am to about 9:00pm and I honestly feel like Bryan and I got a heck of a steal getting the Solar's as our photographers. They felt more like friends than a vendor. They were so easy to work with and did a great job of making our wedding pictures look unique and not just a cut and paste of someone else's wedding. Even though there prices have gone up, I think they are worth every penny and very highly recommend them. I know we will continue to use them when we have kids and family portraits.
From: lesary
A++ ~~ Loved this vendor! I don't have my pics back yet but I know they took over 500. Jenny was with me most of the day and Josh was with my husband. They have that perfect balance of being right there to capture the moment and yet you don't even know they are there. I didn't see Josh for hours until Jenny pointed him out. He was able to stand at a distance and catch shots with a longer lens. Jenny was also great at telling me stories and chatting me up when she thought I was getting nervous before the wedding. Highly recommended!
From: MrsHunter
This was by far my favorite vendor. From the minute we had our first meeting I knew that they were going to do a fabulous job!! Jenny was nothing but helpful during my planning process, always eager to answer questions and offer suggestions. It was almost like having a DOC and photographer rolled into one. Jenny spent most of the day with me, while Josh spent his time with my husband and his crazy friends. They took all of my must take poses and even put a new spin on shots that I loved to make them our own. By the end of the night I felt like they were old friends and was sad to see them go. Our family and friends did nothing but praise their creative ideas and professionalism, in fact my sister even booked them to shoot pictures of her daughter later this spring. I have no doubt that our pictures will be nothing short of amazing and I can't wait to see the final product!! I would highly recommend using them to anyone wanting amazing photographers at an affordable price!!

The Solars are great, great people, and we ended our wedding feeling like we'd made these great new friends. I highly recommend them to anyone!

A++ ~~ They did great on our engagment picts...I couldn't wait for our wedding. Josh and Jenny are such a great team! She followed me and Josh was following Michael. They were with us from 12pm to about 10:30pm. We also went to Loose park and took bridal party picts. I can't wait to see them! They seemed to get shots of everything possible!

A+++++!!! ~~ We have been so impressed with the Solar’s! They were so fun to work with during our engagement setting and are full of ideas! Our e-pics and my bridal portraits turned out amazing! I can’t wait to see the wedding pictures (should be ready about Oct 27)! The Solar’s are my favorite vendor! Jenny is constantly in contact with me via email with general wedding-planning ideas and tips. So wonderful! They really put a lot of time into their clients. If I could recommend just one vendor, this would be the one. I cannot say enough about them. They even gave us this “little black book” at the end of the night full of miniature pics! They printed them onsite and put them in the book. Nothing better than instant gratification! I think they’ll be offering that book as a package add-on soon.

A++++++++++++ ~~ Hands down best investment choice for the day. Josh and Jenny both are upbeat, high energy, personable, and truly enjoy their work. They also are prompt with emails, turn-around times for contract agreements, photo CD's in the mail so fast you think they'd finished the editing two seconds after the photos were taken. I had a very difficult groom to work with (painfully self-conscious) and they managed to pull every trick in the book out to successfully coax several smiles out of him throughout every photo shoot we had. They are open to suggestion for shots, love taking candids (which was our preference) and artfully blend right in with the scenery so that you hardly noticed they were there for sniper shots. We purchased a 6 hour package, which was the perfect amount of time to get before/during/after photos, a bridal portrait and engagement session prior to the wedding day, and they offered the option to purchase the rights to the photos (which was a must when looking for a photographer). We will be using them again for more portraits in the future and I hope they never quit the business.

A++++++++++ ~~ Our favorite vendor would probably have to be: Kansas Memories. I could go on and on about them and no I don’t work for them! :) We used them for photography and Videography. I was nervous because I am a photography kind of girl and wedding photo’s are super important to me! The video and pictures turned out amazingly! The guys meshed in with us so easily and we had fun with them the whole day! They blended into the background when they needed to and were in the forefront when they needed to! They helped coordinate when we needed to be where and also helped make sure that Brett and I didn’t see each other before the ceremony! They were with us from 3:15ish to 10:30ish so we got all day coverage! Kansas Memories also did our invitations (GREAT!) and our photo mat guest book and the picture inside the mat! Both were wonderful! They also did a growing up video that they played at the RD and the reception! Both times it was wonderful!!! I am truly glad that we decided to go with Kansas Memories and I believed they helped make our day as wonderful as it was!

A+ ~~ Our proofs were gorgeous (still haven't ordered prints, our fault, not theirs) and our wedding day experience with them was AWESOME! Everywhere I looked they were there and even though we started pictures late, they got us back on track and were extremely easy to work with. They also found wedding babysitters for us, they are a full service photographer!

A ~~ Neal and Eric are great! They are so much fun, and I answered questions all night about how I found such fun photographers. I've only seen a few teaser pictures but they are fab so far. I booked Neal and Eric for the entire day (12 hours) and I think that ended up being worth it for us. The only reason they didn't get an A+ is that there were a few times where I think they felt like they "got the shot," so they didn't keep shooting.

A ~~ Marty was by far my favorite vendor! I knew I wanted awesome pictures, so I was willing to splurge to get the photographer I wanted. I am SO glad that I did. She was at the hotel at 6:30 that morning to get us all getting ready, then we went to Union Station, Liberty Memorial, and City Market for pictures before heading to the church. At the church she breezed through the formal family pictures. She even came to the rescue with some Pepto when I was in the bathroom before the ceremony about to throw up! She was at the reception until it began winding down. About half-way through the reception she had a little slideshow up on her laptop of a dozen or so pictures she had taken earlier. They were awesome! I had the rest of the proofs back within 3 weeks, and I was just totally blown away by them. I really couldnt have asked for a better photographer. She even had them up in time for me to order photo Christmas cards. Her husband is her assistant, and both of them were an absolute pleasure to work with. They fit right in with our wedding party, and it felt like we were just out having fun, instead of taking pictures.

A+ ~~ I may be biased, but I don't care. I already saw some of her photos, and am on edge to get them, they looked so amazing!!! I let her do her thing, and am so glad I did, because she used her eye to find some beautiful shots!
From: Tigersbear07
OMG!! She is awesome and her photos are fantastic! I loved working with her and her husband. He is so darn funny! They are the best team! I can't wait to see the rest of my photos. During dinner, she had her laptop up downloading photos. I had a slideshow going on at the bar not too much later. Instant gratification, can't beat that!

A ~~ I loved him, he did amazing work for me, and he was so pleasent to work with, I didn't even notice he was on the stage or anywhere, and he dealt with my nine hundred people bridal party like it was nothing. He was just like, "whatever you want, this is about you and your day..." It was so good to hear someone say that. And he got my pictyures to me like within two and a half weeks, and says any touch-ups or adjustments just e-mail him and he'll make them. I love him and reccommend him WHOLE HEARTEDLY!!!

A+ ~~ He was a fantastic find. For $2000, we got an editorial type of portraiture, as well as our images on a CD, a book for us, a book for each of our parents and several prints. He was easy-going, organized, and everywhere he needed to be.

A- ~~ Brandi used to be a second shooter for Mark with Sorenson Photography (Mark was recommended to me by realie sarahnjoe) Mark was booked on our wedding day, but Brandi was available, so we booked her. By the time our wedding rolled around, she had started her own company (she still works for Mark on the side) She did a good job. We had a super large wedding party, but she took charge and got some fantastic shots. She brought along a second photographer at no fee (lucky for us) and for $600 we got an album with 200 prints, a CD with 298 edited photos, and a copyright release to the photos. She has raised her prices since then, but I still recommend her. She got a really good mix of the posed photos (everyone wants some for photo albums) and candid shots. We had a lot of fun with her and her sister (2nd shooter).

We knew as soon as we were engaged that we should start looking for a great photographer. We did some research and were having a hard time. Everyone seemed to have a great website. We really didn't know how to find someone who we could trust and who would be the artist we expected to capture our day. We finally called a friend of my mom's, a professional photojournalist. She said she would have trusted Matt Nichols to photograph her own wedding. I knew as soon as we met him that he was our photogrpher too. He showed us boxes of pictures each representing a different wedding, not just a portfolio of his all time greatest shots. On our wedding day he was exactly what we expected. He took charge when we needed him to and then faded into the back to capture the day as it happened. He kept us organized and calm. He worried about the timeline so all we had to do was just enjoy. He was more than a photographer to us. He became a great friend through the process. I can not reccommend him enough. I think our day was flawless and much of the credit goes to Matt Nichols.

A++ ~~ Matt is AWESOME! We switched to Matt from our other photog and are we HAPPY WE DID!! Our package with Matt included Bridal Pics along with the wedding day photos. Matt had lots of great ideas for the Bridal Pics and I felt like a model for the day. The day of the wedding Matt and his crew arrived around noon and didn't leave until just before midnight. They were all great! Matt doesn't do a lot of weddings, he does mainly fashion photography and commercial photos but he is totally worth it. He has a great eye and is one of the NICEST guys you'll ever meet. He and DH and I became INSTANT friends like we'd been friends for years which was so important on the day of because you're stressed already. Matt was always asking if I needed a break or if I was doing okay. He's the best! Highly recommend!!

A+ ~~ She is a sweet lady (young) and does great work. She is independent and so is not pricey. We get all images on cd's. If you want her info, let me know. Her and her assistant were with us from noon-9:30pm. She let us lead and direct which I like. Not pushy and making you take 'dumb' shots. A ~~ I LOVE our photographer. He is so nice and wanted to make sure we got what we wanted. The outdoor pics were the most important to me, which we took at Unity Village. Unfortunately, it was almost 100 degrees even at 7pm and we got massively sweaty. So b/c of that I didn’t get some of the pictures I wanted. He did a great job of taking the shots in a way to not make us look gross. 4 days after the wedding the pics were online and 1 week after the wedding I had the cds of the pics including the rights to them. B ~~ I'm going to go with the benefit of the doubt (before seeing any photos) and give them a B. From what I've seen in their studios and books, they do a fabulous job of wedding photography. We were just disappointed because there were some communication errors that caused a lot of stress that day and we ended up not getting any photos taken on the Plaza, which I really was looking forward to. I'll update their review once the photos are in and let you know if I recommend them!

And, in addition, she's an amazing person – kind, caring and funny! So many people remarked on how much they enjoyed her. She truly aims to give each picture context so it's not just pictures of people standing around looking pretty. I can't say enough about her. She's based in Columbia, MO but travels as needed. A+. Mark and his assistant Brandy were wonderful. They were friendly and fun and put up with us being demanding about what pictures we wanted and we were so happy with the pictures we got from them. Best of all, we got a CD of all of the images from the wedding that I have used to make a MyPublisher album, plus we got a proof book with all of the images. I think the only thing I wish was different is that I with I had more pictures of the details. When you spend so much time planning all of the little things, you want pictures of the outcome, and I don't have any up close pics of centerpieces, the signs I made to direct people to our wedding, or our cake. I also with that we had more pro pics from the reception.

On the blog, where he posts examples of recent work, are a number of photos from our wedding. To see them, go to the January 2008 archives -- we are Laurie and Matt. PM me for a link to our complete wedding slideshow.DH and I hired Bruce and a second photographer (of Bruce's choosing) to provide 8 hours of wedding-day coverage, as well as a 2 hour portrait session two days after the wedding. Bruce is based out of Topeka, but will travel to Lawrence, KC, and beyond. When you use his photography services, you get complete rights to all digital photos taken (he provides you with a DVD of .jpg files) -- the cost is included in his package price. We loved this!
As a person, Bruce is kind, efficient, thoughtful, consummately professional, smart, and very friendly. As a photographer, he is incredible! DH and I were thrilled with his work, and compliments continue to pour in from our friends and family about how fantastic the photography was.
His shooting style is photojournalistic and very unobtrusive -- he captured not only the evening's big events, but so many private and meaningful moments throughout our wedding and reception. Bruce was game for anything -- including an outdoor photo shoot in a field with the Circle S Ranch bison herd, in the freezing cold and snow! The photography itself is gorgeous -- creative and fresh but classic.
Within a week of the wedding, Bruce had (1) posted all of our wedding photos online for family and friends to see, (2) put together a slideshow of the wedding, and (3) completed a first draft of the layout of our wedding album. We were amazed by how quickly he assembled and designed these things, and we were overjoyed with the results! He responds to e-mail inquiries in record time, and is incredibly accommodating.
We could not have been happier with him and with his work! He is a gem, and we cannot recommend him highly enough!
