A+ ~~ They went above and beyond with us, even calling the day before the rehearsal to tell us that they were going to move us to the bigger room they had at no additional charge. The food was great and we were able to feed 40 ppl for around $600. The only bad thing is, it is really loud in there, but we didn't have any speeches or anything, so it worked out fine for us. Oh, and they have rewards program so since we spent $600 on food, we got a $60 gift card to use there! From: MrsKsTwo
The food was great and the waitstaff was very attentive – but it was really loud in there. They had us in a back room that they call “private” but it’s only separated from the rest of the restaurant by a curtain and it got a little loud at times. It was difficult to hand out BP gifts and say Thank You’s b/c not everyone could hear. I had to turn on my teacher voice! However, my entire family was from out of town and they really enjoyed eating at a place that was “local” as opposed to a chain restaurant. My In-Laws paid for the entire RD ~ so I can’t give you an amount….but I know that it was very very reasonable!

A ~~ Great location. Were able to bring in the caterer we wanted (now on the approved list) as well as our own liquor/wine/bartenders (who were licensed through the caterer)Brio Tuscan Grille

A+ ~~ Brio is one of our favorite restaurants in KC. We originally thought it was going to be too expensive to have the RD there, but after our RD location fell through only weeks before the wedding we looked there as a last resort. We were pleasantly surprised with the price. The food was wonderful and wait staff did a great job. The atmosphere and private room at Brio are perfect for a private dining event.Buca Di Beppo

Yummy! There was tons and tons of food and we had a great time. The waiter even got everyone to sing, "going to the chapel." We spent $1,500 for about 30 people, but there was lots of wine happening, so you could definitely do it for less. They packaged about 20 containers of leftovers up for us when it was all over. From: LoLo2006
B+ ~~ We had our rehearsal dinner here. The atmosphere was great- we had a private room, and the food was delicious!! Only complaint was that we had to keep asking the staff to bring out more food- they didn't do a good job of gauging how much food the party of 25 would eat. Other than that, we recommend them!

A+ ~~ Aaron is great to work with! The food was great and the location was beautiful! We had considered them for our wedding, but we didn’t like the set up for a ceremony/reception (but they said they could do it!) -- so when we needed a rehearsal place, we knew right where to go! Our dinner was during lent, so no meat for most our guests, and Aaron was absolutely great working with us to pick a menu -- we did the "finger food buffet" - you get 8 items, but we basically got double that (for the same price) because they would make 1/2 of the items with meat and half without! Everyone was very impressed with the food and the service! I would HIGHLY recommend them!

A ~~ Cinzetti's had a private room that was perfect for our group and surprisingly quite considering the normal noise level in the restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and extremely attentive, plates were always cleared quickly and drinks were always refilled before they were quite finished. The price per person was very reasonable and everyone in the group loved all of the options available with the buffet. From: mothchick
B+ ~~ We didn't have the private room because another party had already booked it. I would have been fine with that since we knew in advance except we ended up waiting over 45 minutes just to be seated and we had reservations. The whole reason we went with them was because the food would be fast with such a large group but it turned out to be about the same if not longer than a non-buffet place.Classic Cup

A ~~ We had our dinner in the cellar and it was a fun location but hard to seat everyone so we could talk. The food turned out ok but I think it would have been better if we hadn't waited on some late arrivals.eggtc.

A++ ~~ Another rave. We looked all over for a cool place that would give us privacy, great food and a good price. We found it here. It is located just south of the plaza and only does private events in the evenings. Il Centro or Minskys can do the catering. We had such a good time that night!!! And the food was awesome! Highly recommend this place!Fondizi's

A+ ~~ I kept changing my mind on where to host this since my parents paid for this as well as the wedding. I wanted to keep it simple yet elegant, and I didn’t want to have to spend a minimum of $2,500 for a Friday night and it seems like a lot of restaurants have that policy. Frondizi’s doesn’t have a minimum. We went with the Italian Feast Buffet with different meats, cheeses, appetizers, breads, assorted pizzas, and delicious desserts, which was the cheapest option at $28 a person. They poured wine at $15 a bottle and we just kept a tab on the beer instead of doing per person to try to save money. One tip I will give you is to keep the rehearsal dinner to the bridal party only. We only invited 30 people to keep it small and it ended up being perfect. I got to chat with everyone I loved. The food was excellent and filling and this was one detail I didn’t have to stress about because all the work was done for us. I think their private room holds up to 80 people if you’re looking for a nice place to have a small wedding reception.

A+ ~~ This was a wonderful meal and the private room is fabulous! It has a fireplace and everything. It holds about 55 people, we only had about 35. It’s pricey but it was really great. I’d definitely recommend.

A ~~ Since we had several people from out of town I wanted to do BBQ for our rehearsal dinner. I check with several BBQ joints but they wanted upwards of $20 a person, which was over my budget. I had used Hy-Vee before for events so I decided to call them and get a quote. They quoted $400 for 30 people for beef brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, hash brown casserole, salad, rolls, butter and brownies. Everything tasted delicious and just thinking about the brownies make my mouth water! They also provided all the plates, napkins and utensils. The driver did get lost on the way, but called for directions and still made it there on time. I highly recommend Hy-Vee.Jack Stack

A ~~ MIL pretty much set up the whole thing, but they seemed very easy to work with. We even called them on a couple of separate occasions to change menu items that were ordered wrong (no fault of JS) and they were very accomodating. We had approximately 40 people and used their inside room, and it was the perfect size. The servers made sure that DH and I had a drink whenever we wanted one, and they were very prompt with bringing the food out. We never ran out of any food, and as usual, it was delicious!

A ~~ If only I had shut up long enough to actually eat more, instead of nail 4 glasses of pinot! We had the private room and porch, ILs went all out on the shindig. It was raved about!!! Try the cheesey-corn if you've never had it!

D ~~ Made reservations a month in advance. Got there on time with exact amount of people expected, and not a large amount of people either. Had to wait as if we'd just walked in off the street for a table. Manager offered excuses rather than solutions. Got seated a half hour later and after 1/3 of our party had to leave. Only reason they didn't get an F is the food was very good and our waiter was wonderful. From: wordtoyourmother

B ~~ Food was good. Service was okay, not great, not bad. My MIL thought the coordinator there was really nice and easy to work with. I'm not a BBQ person, so my opinion may be bias. The room was decent but a little tight for 50 people. Their prices were reasonable, about $15/person.
