We got the 3 Blurb albums we are using as Christmas presents for our parents yesterday. They look amazing. Our photog (Rebecca Peters) did a small album for us to use as a guest book at the wedding, and the image quality of the pictures in the Blub albums is just as good as the one she did.We ordered the standard landscape album. And I would say that it really does look and feel like an art book you buy to put on your coffeetable (but slightly smaller Smiley ). The paper has a good thickness and weight to it and the binding is well done.

Seal-n-SendA+ ~~ These were great. Very simple, white invite with a black border. My sister works for a company that uses them as a vendor so I got a discount, but found many websites that offered them for a discount as well. Also used them for our personalized matchbooks that were part of our favors. I ordered personalized seals from a vendor I found online that added to the look for the invite rather than the clear plastic one that came with the invites.

2007 Cost -- About $10 an invite maybe?A- ~~ This was my definite SPLURGE. Tara is wonderful. I couldn't ask for someone to work with on something that was so important to me. She was SO responsive and flexible. I had a lot of changes to make to some of her initial ideas and she took my input and made it even better. She was also a GREAT value for letterpress invitations. I also got calligraphy through her studio, which was gorgeous and so worth it to me. The only reason I give an A- is because the calligrapher had to redo some of the outside envelopes, but Tara handled it, refunded me the money and got them corrections out to me very quickly.

A ~~ We had a hard time determining what we wanted for invitations. Adriane was extremely helpful, and when we would show her something in one book that we liked, she knew other books to look in to find similar things. When the invitations came in, there was one change that needed to be made and it was done very quickly. It took less than 2 weeks to get our invitations and the reprinted response card. The shop offers 25% off (I think that is the right amount) of most invitations, and was great to work with.Fun Party and Wedding Services

DH & I thought "oh the books are all the same," and went to one of the big chain party stores. Yeah, not so much.... Then I remembered Fun Services. Family owned, and they know those invitations front & back!!!! We got great guidance on wording, etiquette, and balancing "old world etiqutte" with modern traditions. They even saved us money, showing that we didn't need a separate reception card since we were at the same place. They helped us find thank you notes to complement our invitations, but a little more modern (I didn't care for the thank yous that came with our invitation). There was a slight mixup with our order, but they fixed it immediatley with no headaches. I also got DIY invitations there for the rehearsal dinner, and some direction signs to show guests where to turn. Skip the chain stores and go straight to Fun Services. Their prices are the same, and the service is phenomenal. From: oseven

B ~~ My invitations were exactly what I wanted. There were a few smudges (very slight and not really noticeable) on a handfull of the invites, but I have no other real complaints. I do wish that they could offer more than just an online preview, but I was happy with the final product and would order from them again.

Absolutely LOVED my invitations and working with Ashley. I was a total PITA during the design process, but she was wonderful to me and never made me feel like the pain that I was. I couldn’t find any pre-made invitations that I liked (and could afford), but Ashley came up with a design that I absolutely adored. I got so many compliments on them and they really set the mood for my entire event. I ended up using the pattern she put on my invites on lots of things (including hurricanes that I found at Hobby Lobby that matched them). It really tied my event together and I am so thankful for her and her patience. She also made me wonderful maps!MyGatsby

A ~~ Mikhaela works out of her home in Clay Center, Kansas and custom designed my invites. They far surpassed my expectations!! Plus they were about half the price I would have paid for some similar invites had I ordered them from a catalog, and were of the highest quality. In the wedding section of the invitation gallery under the layers upon layers category, the "elegant garnet" are ours. The burgundy card stock actually had a shimmer to it, which really added a nice touch.

C ~~ Jill had a lot of selection but by the time we got ready to order she was very unprofessional. A ~~ I ordered a lot of samples from different places. I actually found Papel Vivo through The Kn** after doing a search with the word “Letterpress.” I don’t think a lot of k***ties know about this company but they should. I worked with Melina, the owner and designer, totally through e-mail. She sent me proofs, changed colors, helped me with the design of my map, and so on. She was really sweet. I got so many compliments on our invites. The only complaint I have is that when we went to stuff them, the outer envelopes were really not quite big enough. We had to really push to get the invitations to fit in them and it was upsetting because some of my perfect invitations tore when we pushed too hard. It worked out okay, but the stuffing process took longer because of that issue. I e-mailed her to thank her for the beautiful invitations and tell her about the problem and all she said was she has never had any problems before, which kind of irked me. I just let it go. They were beautiful and that was that!

A+ ~~ Ok, so this one is my twin sister but I'm more particular on her than anyone else. My sister bought the company back in May so she offered to do most of my paper products as my wedding gift. I'm not really into design, layouts or fonts so she held my hand through it all. She did my STD, Invitations (which I've been told by many are the prettiest they've ever seen), Rehearsal Dinner Invitations, Bridal Shower Invitations, Bachelorette Party Invitations, Programs, Table Assignment Cards, and Napkins. Everything turned out to be absolutely beautiful. The cost for everything retail would have been over $2,500 and I would never have been able to afford this stuff. She does carry much less expensive items, so if you need anything I'd check out her website (in progress) or stop by her store.Picaboo

I just finished my guest book. I had never used an online book making service before so I was really excited to get the book in.I found Picaboo to be really easy to navigate. I originally played around with using Power Point rather than the templates but I just went with what they had because it was just a guest book and I didn't want to mess with it that much (the Power Point thing took a long time for me to figure out even though I had directions).
I had scanned most all of the pics--and they were really old (pics of us growing up). It acually turned out pretty well-only a couple pics looks pretty grainy. A few pics had been "mishandled" and you can see it in the book (where the picture was scratched up a bit) I did all the pics in Sepia though so the pics still look great with the whole "old" look of the book.
Not knowing what to expect at all, I'm pretty pleased. If you want to see the book online, PM me.

I can't remember who wanted to know what I thought of my photo books. I just got two of them today, and they are pretty good. On some of the pictures that are very enlarged, it is a teeny, tiny bit grainy. I can't say for sure that it's not due to bad photography though. I have never seen any of the other company's photo books in person, so I can't compare. I'll be ordering other books from them b/c the quality is good and I still like their page layouts much better than any other sites I've looked at.From: fightthezilla
Since I know there's a couple of you ladies out there getting ready to make your albums, I figured I'd go ahead and review the book I just got from Picaboo. I put together an engagement photo album for my roommate of pics I took of her and her FI. I spent a while comparing the different companies (Blurb, MyPublisher, etc.) before deciding on Picaboo. I felt that the layouts were more creative and there were more of them. The first big downside I noticed with Picaboo is you only have two size options to choose from: 8"x6" or 11"x8.5" and they're both bound landscape -- portrait is not an option. However, this format worked for me, so I went ahead and used it.When I got the book (which took about a week), the paper quality was really good and most of the pictures looked good too. However, Picaboo doesn't have a sensor that lets you know when the picture quality starts deteriorating, so some of the pictures turned out a little blurry. Looking back, I should have realized that it would have happened since I was using 6mp pics in a portriat format on a 11x8.5" landscape page, BUT that doesn't exactly make the program user friendly for people who wouldn't know that. On the flip side, the program that you create the book with is very simple and straight-forward to use. And I'm pretty sure you can use pictures as the background with any layout.
Overall, I was pretty pleased with the quality (and I got 50% off my album which was nice, too) -- the only problem I had was that the program didn't tell you when the picture quality was not good enough.
From: pinkie
I am very impressed with the quality. I wasn't expecting much, especially considering I designed the pages. I got the leather cover, and I haven't decided if it was worth it yet. I was a little disappointed with the size. For some reason I expected it to be bigger, even though I knew what size I ordered. I was really concerned with using my own pictures for the backgrounds, but it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Overall, I'm happy with it, and I will order from them again. Here's a few pictures of my book. I can send you the whole thing on the Picaboo program if you want me to. Sorry for the glares!Chinese Theater/Harry Potter Pages

D ~~ I didn't receive the response cards I had ordered and when I called they told me that they hadn't been ordered. I told them that I had ordered them and they finally agreed to give me 50% off the response cards and free shipping. This was all good, but I had seriously not wanted to spend that much on my invites and wouldn't have ordered through them if they were going to cost so much. The invites also didn't all come with the "&" embossed on them so about 10% weren't usable (didn't matter for us since I ordered extra). The Precious Collection

A+ ~~ I used RSVP for the invitations, rehearsal dinner invites, and the programs. Abby Albers, the owner, was wonderful to work with. She helped pick the design and fonts for all of our stationary as well as the wording for everything. Stationary was a very important element in our wedding and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the invitations and programs we selected. RSVP has a huge selection of designs for different types of stationary in many different price ranges. All of our proofs were ready within 24 hours. Our invitations arrived within 2 weeks, and the rehearsal dinner invites and programs were printed at the shop and ready to go within 24 hours. Our programs were ready the week of the wedding and Abby volunteered to tie the ribbons on them—for free! It saved us a ton of time and was just one little detail that I didn’t have to worry about. RSVP is fabulous; I would highly recommend them for all wedding stationary.Statements Gifts & Stationary

A- ~~ I used VistaPrint for my Save the Date postcards. For overall service, product and price, I give them an A rating. I was very pleased with the speed at which the product was delivered and we've received many compliments on how the cards turned out. The price could also not be beat. VistaPrint runs promotional sales often and so I was able to get 100 color postcards for under $25. My one hesitation, hence the minus added to the A, was that it was a little challenging for me to design the actual layout of the cards. I chose to upload my own design and since I am not the most computer-lingo savvy, it took me a while to figure out how to change images into the correct format, etc.

A- ~~ I used Vistaprint for my Save the Date cards. I uploaded my own custom design and chose the linen paper finish. My cards arrived in approximately 6 days and came with free envelopes! The quality of the product was phenomenal and I got free shipping because my order was just over $50. I also ordered an address stamp which was free. My only complaint about Vistaprint is that once you get over 100 cards, you have to order in quantities of 100... hence I had to order 200 STDs when I only needed 120. Definitely search the internet for Vistaprint coupons -- they are all over the place.

Seals for invites and candle labelsA ~~ The seals I ordered for our invites we also used as labels for our candle favors. Looked great! I think they have raised their prices but they did give a discount (1/2) if a certain number were ordered. This was an expense I would have not incurred had it not been a good price.
