D ~~ Although the tuxes wear the style and color we wanted our experience with them was less then pleasant. I don’t even know where to start. When we originally ordered the tuxes we were guessing who was going to be in the wedding, we hadn’t asked anyone yet. We had to take off someone and change the color. I called at least 3 times to verify the changes had been made, they hadn’t! When we went to pick up the tuxes it was a nightmare! We were there for over an hour. Sean’s shirt was to short in the sleeve and the manager refused to get him the right size! She said it fit correctly and when we pointed out that it was 3" above his wrist she said it was how he was standing! Then all they would show us of the vest was the color, two of the GM’s vests were stained. When we called about it they said it wasn’t there when we picked it up and there was nothing they could do about. They neglected to record a payment my parents made. So, when my dad went to pick up his tux they charged them $100 extra!

D ~~ They weren't all that friendly. Davids Bridal told me to go there because they could match our BM dress colors. Well, they couldn't. They guy was getting impatient with me while I was trying to decide on colors. We got the tux's ordered. And they made us pay full price for a tux for a 5 year old. We fought it, but they wouldn't budge, and frankly, I was sick of dealing with it, so we just paid for it. Then our Best man, got in a motorcycle accident and hurt his knee. I went to AH and asked them if they would be able to work with us, and maybe let some seams out to make the pant leg wider to fit his knee brace. The girl said she didn't think it would be a problem, and to call and talk to the manager the next day. So, I did. And The Manager Treated me as though I was an idiot for even thinking they could do such a thing. That's when I quit contacting them. I let DH do everything from there. I would never use these people again.

A ~~ We had no problems that I know of and we got a pretty good deal to me! They looked awesome and were very helpful every time we needed them to be. There was a mix up at one point where they sent us a post card saying we needed to get all our tuxes fitted and we had already done that so we kind of got a little freaked out-but it turned out they had gotten something confused and everything worked out perfectly!

B- ~~ They came through in the end, but were a pain to deal with pre-wedding. They kept screwing up our information in the system, so people had a hard time when they went to get fitted. But they got everyone’s tuxes right in the end, and my dad even got his at the store in Topeka with no problems.

A ~~ After some initial issues getting the tuxes ordered on the East Coast and sending the info out to KS, everything else was great. Two of the groomsmen had fit issues and everything was corrected within 24 hours. Would recommend them!

B+ ~~ Ok, we’ve pretty much established that there are no perfect tux places here in KC (LOL). A couple of the tuxes didn’t fit, but they got them fixed and it didn’t effect any of our scheduling. The only thing that pissed me off is that they told my DH that his tux was not going to be in until Saturday morning (this is Friday at noon and we were taking outdoor pics at 7pm that night. They knew this already). When DH called me, I got so mad. Then he called me back 15 mins later to say that they had found his tux (WTF!). I don’t even understand this whole thing, but the bottom line is that he had his tux, it fit, and we were able to go on with our plans.
From: StephanieandStefan
B+ ~~ The only issue was that two of our out-of-town groomsmen's tuxes were not ready on time. Well, that's not completely true. They also call and bug you every couple of months about your experience in the store and whether you've had a chance to get into the store yet. Picking out the tuxes was easy, as was making sure the out-of-towners had the correct information.

A- ~~ The only major issue was that the ring bearers tie was black when it should have been red. However, this was NOT Zona Rosa’s Afterhours fault -- the ringbearer couldn’t be here early enough to try it on at the Zona Rosa location, so he picked it up at a Chicago location and tried it on. His mom didn’t realize it was suppose to be red, so never said anything. By the time we noticed, it was too late to do anything about it! And I did double check, the Chicago location just messed up, the order form said “red.” Otherwise, we had a really great experience! No problem with everyone getting measured at different locations and then picking them up at Zona Rosa! In fact, one of the GM jackets was too small (not the stores fault, the GM :-) but they were able to get him a new jacket by 3 pm the next day! (he had gone to pick it up Thur PM and it was too tight, and they had a new one by 10 am on Friday)

Wedding Dress - A ~~ This was the first and only shop I went to. I ordered the second dress I tried on and it arrived in three months, just like they said it would. They ordered everything correctly and called me each and every time to let me know it was there. They provided the seamstress (used Eunice) and her prices, compared to others I’ve heard, are very reasonable. All the ladies were always helpful and everything in their store is beautiful, including the store itself. When I had second thoughts about my dress and came in the store crying, Thea sat me down and talked me back into it, reminding me how much I loved it and how beautiful I looked in it. They really went above and beyond my expectations and I’m so glad I found a bridal store that treated me like a princess every time I came in. That’s the way every bride should be treated ;)

Bridesmaid Dresses ~~ A ~~ I had six bridesmaids, all different shapes and heights and some living in other towns and I just wanted this process to be easy for all of them. We ordered the Chloe dress in cornflower blue with a blue sash. Later when they added new summer colors to the line and allowed people to buy sashes separately, we ordered six espresso sashes because it perfectly matched the color scheme of our wedding. Some of the girls exchanged sizes with no problems. A couple girls got them altered, but they all ended up looking gorgeous on the wedding day. Tip: I signed up for e-mail updates on Ann Taylor’s website and ended up getting 20% coupon codes that I passed along to all the girls so the dresses ended up being really reasonable.

Tuxedos

A+ ~~ Originally we were going to order the guys’ suits from Amore, but we learned late in the game that Amore couldn’t get the larger sizes we needed in the tan suits. We wanted to order the Alfresco suits by Jim’s Formalwear and we weren’t backing down from what we wanted so I got Amore to fax me the sizes since all the guys had already been measured there. I learned from another helpful k***tie, MrsKcBride06, who had similar problems to go to Black Tie Formalwear. I called immediately and Tyler really put my mind at ease. He made one call and got us back on track with the Alfresco suits. All sizes and colors were correct. The guys looked awesome! We were very happy with them and will be going to them in the future any time we need to rent DH a suit or tux.

I forgot to bring in a picture of my dress but described it to her and she ended up knowing which dress it was. She was able to help me pick a veil and headpiece that went perfect with my dress; I would have been clueless on my own. I highly recommend her.

B ~~ The dresses were great, as was the customer service we got there. The only reason for the lower rating is that one of my bridesmaids ordered a maternity dress and the person who measured and ordered her dress must not have really understood what she was doing, as the dress ended up being 3 dress sizes too be big for her. We had it altered and all was well in the end.

F ~~My issues with them is a saga. It started out with the bm dresses. When my first bm went in to get her dress, they were telling her to order it in pool instead of lilac. Luckily she called me to see if I'd changed my colors. At that time I got the sales person on the phone and had her change the color. A week later my moh went in and apparently the color hadn't been changed — so I got to have another joyful conversation with them. My wedding dress had been long ordered by the time all this happened, but my next issue was when I went to try on my dress — it was the wrong size. The label was correct, but it was way too small. When I got the sales associate to my fitting room to tell her it didn't fit and to get me the one off the rack, she looked at me like it was possible for me to gain 2 inches of weight around my bust in 6 weeks. Sure enough, the dress off the rack fit. The manager measured both dresses and discovered the dress was 2 sizes too small. With that, a rush order was put on my dress. Three weeks later, dress #2 arrived. When I got the phone call saying it was in, I asked to make sure it was measured to be the correct size and I was told yes. Yet when I went in it didn't fit again — same problem. And this time I ended up crying in the dressing room and then cusing out the manager. Three weeks later, dress #3 came in. By this point I was terrified to step foot in DB. I kept putting it off because I was too scared it wouldn't zip. Eventually I went in though and it finally fit.

B ~~ Loved my dress, especially for the price. I wish my boobs hadn't been popping out all evening, but what can you do with big bewbies despite great alterations? I wouldn't go to DB if I hadn't been on the budget I was, the service at the Lenexa location was awful, they told me to 'lose a couple pounds' before the wedding to fit my bewbs in the dress, and so they didn't look like a uni-bewb. (Note: that was with my first dress!) Exchanged at DB in Bettendorf IA, and they were the nicest group I've ever dealt with!

A ~~ I went into David’s Bridal well aware of issues other brides have faced at David’s Bridal. I was only going to make a purchase off the rack and . I intentionally didn’t purchase any of the upsells and they weren’t too pushy. I did go back later to buy a bra and bought a smaller size (since I had lost weight) but it in the dress I had horrible uni-boob. I didn’t have any problems exchanging it for a 38C but I did have my receipt.

No problems using them for my dress and they did a great job on my alterations. Only one bustle broke, but that was more my husband's fault then theirs, he was pretty tipsy and kept stepping on my dress!! We also used them for my bridesmaids' dresses and they did an excellent job!!

A ~~ No real complaints. I tried on dresses at DB 3 times at 2 different stores. My best experience was my first visit to the store in Fayetteville Arkansas, the other two visits were fine. I ordered from the DB in Lenexa and it came in quickly and in perfect condition. It even had a bustle loop already sewn on which saved me some money. I wore Monique Luo CQ105 in soft ivory.

A+ ~~ I had absolutely no problems whatsoever! I tried the dress on, thought it was too “busy” at first. But after trying a bunch of others on at a bunch of other places, realized I loved it! I was there about 4 times with different friends/parents and had great service every time! I also had my alterations there, and although I’ve been told they are over priced, for my simple bustle and little bit of hemming, thought it was very reasonable -- especially since they were so quick and steam it! I also liked that they had no problem with “keeping it longer” for the alterations because we were moving!

Bridesmaids Dresses

A+ ~~ Again, no problem whatsoever! My sister and I found the dress we liked, everyone called in their orders for the dress with their measurements, and then had it shipped to their houses. Everyones dress arrived about 3 weeks early and looked/fit great! Of course they all had some alterations done (who doesn’t) but they all had them done by other people, and all looked beautiful!

I walked into this store just to look at BM dresses, as I already had bought my first dress. When I walked in, I was nicely greeted and asked what they could help me with, and I let them know I already had my gown and was looking at BM dresses. They helped when I asked, and came in to check on me periodically (I was taking a long time) and then when I walked up to their desk with a bridal gown in my hand asking if I could try it on, they asked to make sure that I really wanted to try it on since I already had a dress. I loved this dress! They let me put it on layaway since I didn’t have all of the money up front, and they stored it for me for well over a year. It was nice not having high pressure sales people in my face, especially when making this decision. Debbie and her staff go above and beyond to help, and any time I went into the store or called, there was a friendly voice to greet and help. I highly recommend them! They rent crinolines also.

A- ~~ We went shopping a few times at local stores to find dresses that we liked. When we made a decision on which dress they liked the best, in the stores, it was running between $190 and $210. I knew that my girls would not be able to pay that. When I checked at House of Brides, they carried the same dress for $135. We discovered the day of the ceremony that the loops to secure the top of the zipper were broken and one of the bridesmaids spent about 15-20 minutes sewing them back for everyone…I don't know if that is a fault of House of Brides or of the designer itself.

From: 2005KcBride
C ~~ I loved Ida’s when I first went shopping and was very happy with the dress I picked out, but once it came in (about 3 sizes too large) the customer service really dropped off. Ida altered a bridesmaids’ dress for my sister a few weeks prior and it was a mess (we had to take it somewhere else) so when my dress came in we decided to pick it up and take it to a seamstress. From what I understand about Ida’s prices (from my sister’s experience) the alterations needed would have been ridiculous.
From: drewieM
I had a wonderful experience shopping, but when I went back to order my dress, they made me feel like an inconvenience. I was ordering a dress that could not be hemmed so needed to be ordered in a certain length, and they ordered it about 3" too long. They wouldnt reorder without taking my dress back, and I was afraid the new one wouldnt come in time. So I just sucked it up and got some higher heels and spent the day walking on the edge of my dress.

A+ ~~ I had a great experience at Ida's. The day that I shopped Bonnie was who helped me. She only brought dresses within our budget and she was just so nice! I ordered the dress the same day and I got 20% off. I love my dress so much! I had two fitting appts and they were both fine. In the first one we just pinned the bustle and that's all the altering that I needed. I went back about 2 weeks before the wedding and tried it all on for the last time. Ida's pressed the dress for free. The only snaffoo in all of it was that my mom tried to go 3 times to pick it up and it wasn't ready! I guess is was difficult to press and Ida ended up doing it. In the end it looked really beautiful though! I wouldn't change a thing. My dress was by Mon Cheri.

Bridesmaids dresses

A- ~~ Overall, the dresses were a great deal and looked wonderfull on the girls. We got a 20% discount on them b/c I also ordered my gown at Ida's. The day we went for measurements I was a little flustered b/c they recommended a size too big for every girl. The girls that chose the next size down all ended up with their dresses fitting really well. I had one that didn't try on the sample and hers was 2 sizes too big. She had to have it altered a lot. The dresses were from Jordan Bridesmaids, style number 600.

A- ~~ I've had a good experience with Ida's. I did not order my dress upon my first visit, but asked later if I could still get the 10% off discount and Ida allowed me to. I've worked with a few different ladies there, and Bonnie is very helpful! My dress arrived right on time! However, two days before the wedding I went to pick up the dress, tried it on, and the top which had been altered, was scrunched up and did not look right. Later I came to find out that the bra cup had come loose and had been re-sewn. The seamstress was not in that day so I left the dress and Ida fixed it herself the day before the wedding. It turned out great, but it was an unneeded stress right before the wedding! During the wedding, the bra cup stitching came loose, but was able to be fixed with a safety pin. Also, the bustles came unhooked constantly.

B ~~ I bought a 2 piece corset style Maggie Sottero. I bought it the day of the Brides for Breast Cancer sale after not finding anything there that I loved like this one. I got my dress with a small discount because it was a discontinued style, but think she tried to make up for it in what she charged for alterations. I found someone else to do my alterations because of her prices (that went up from her first quote and all it needed was a hem) and went to go pick up my dress and she had already done them (she was not supposed to do them until we paid for them). I was livid, but she ended up honoring what I was going to be paying the other lady. Still more drama though because she made the hem lopsided and every time I went back, it still wasn't straight. We had good service with them. One of the Groomsmen had to back out and then we found out the day we picked up the tuxes that he could be in it so they scrambled around to find a tux or actually to put one together from pieces that they had and they were able to find his measurements from the store he was measured at and then they found the jacket they needed from their store in Olathe and one of the guys drove it over to us. It fit and looked great on him.

No issues with them at all. Our guys got measured at 2 different KC locations, one in Denver, and one in Portland. It all went off without a hitch. Not many other choices in KC anymore, so just know they were delightfully uneventful for us Smiley. C ~~ We ordered only tux jackets and pants and asked them to have the guys all order/purchase the same shirt to wear with them. The tuxes all came in fine and all the guys were measured for shirts, but none of the locations actually ordered the shirts. We didn't find out about this until about 3 days before the wedding. They overnighted most of the shirts and sent me all over Missouri and Kansas to collect shirts from other stores. One shirt was overnighted in the wrong color and didn't come in correctly until the day before the wedding and another shirt was supposed to be held at the Lenexa store, but wasn't there and didn't come in until the day of the wedding (which pushed our pictures back a bit). They also didn't order James's shirt correctly and he had to exchange it the day of the wedding (drove from Lawrence to Zona Rosa). Another GM tux was sent to Zona Rosa from Oklahoma and they "couldn't find it" until the morning of the wedding. The tuxes all came in correctly, but the shirts were another story. If you just stick to tuxes, they would be fine!

A- ~~ Men's Wearhouse has been very helpful and easy to work with. On their website I got a coupon for $20 off each tux, and the groom's tux for free. About a month before the wedding I called to confirm the styles, and the style they had in their system for the groomsmen tuxes was wrong, so it's a good thing I called!

B for look C for service ~~ We used the Independence location of Men's Warehouse for our tuxes. Our bridal party is from all different areas so we wanted to use a company that was convenient for everyone. Not to mention, there aren't many choices left for tuxes as they acquired After Hours and Savii is or is leaving the area. I really wanted to do brown vest and ties but the options they had were not anything I was looking for so we went with the black vest and ties for everyone but DH, who wore white. DH and I decided to pay for the tuxes for all the guys and we were told this wouldn't be a problem, they did it all the time. However, we had numerous issues with them requesting and even taking payment for the tuxes from guys when we had already paid for them! There also were some issues with ordering the wrong size shirts, vest, jackets. DH was ordered a medium vest, he hasn't worn a medium since middle school! Our other problem was the service. Mainly the Independence store. The manager Jennifer was very helpful but the other employees fought over who had to take care of the guys. I guess they get commission for suits but don't get anything extra for tuxes so no one wanted to help the guys out. If you can avoid using Men's Warehouse, I'd recommend going with someone else.
From: lesary
D ~~ Not a good experience and I don't that is a shock to anyone. They screwed up mutilple things with almost everyone's tuxes and they blow.
From: missmlt
C ~~ Ok, so they weren't horrible, but weren't great either. I don't really know of any tux place that gets great reviews all the time, but here is my story. We paid for all the tuxes. So I went in, set up the account, they noted that Bride and groom pay, and that was that, easy. So we give the guys the instructions and they go in to get measured. But the Indpendence store kept asking them to either pay the full amount or give a deposit. They asked my dad to put a deposit down (which he shouldn't have to do since we paid) but he called me and told him not to and then they read the account note and didn't make him pay.

They then charged one of our groomsmen for the rental....after we had already paid! so I had to call them and get it refunded. Then Both my dad's tux, dh's tux, and one groomsman tux was incorrectly sized. In fact they had made both my dad's and Dh's tux's pant legs 6 inches too short! So they had to go back later to pick theirs up after they were fixed. Also a vest had a button missing, we had to remove a lower button and sew it up in the spots were the button showed. I did however get a great deal at a bridal show, $25 off each tux, grooms tux free. So it worked out ok, but it was a hassle

A- ~~ The only issue we had was my FIL was given the wrong shirt size. We didn’t have any issues getting the right shirt even though it was prom weekend.
From: MrsDerek
B+ ~~ The tuxes all came in on time and for the most part they fit. There were a few tuxes though where the pants were short or the jacket was too tight after being fitted there. They did take care of the problem immediately though and were very nice to work with.

We booked them at a bridal show and got the special. It was a great deal! We saved $40 per tux and the groom’s tux is free. There was misc. problems with different tuxes though, but most of them were fixed before the big day. The problems that weren’t fixed I’m sure could have been if the guys who had problems would have spoke up and took them back to the store. But having said that, why go in to get fitted if you aren’t going to get what you were fitted for in the first place? It was stuff like too small of shoes, too short of pants, too long of sleeves, and too big of shoes. Even though the minor problems, the tuxes looked great! Just be sure that when the guys try them on when they come in that everything is right.

C ~~ My wedding fell on prom week so they had our tuxes in a few days early and called all my GM to go pick them up. By the time I got there to pick up my RBs' tuxes and realized that the tuxes were wrong, 3 of my GM had already picked theirs up. They had the wrong style and the wrong shoes. Men's Wearhouse told me that it was pretty much too late to make changes or corrections because of prom week. I had to just "Lump it" and we went with what we had. The store itself was a complete MADHOUSE. It was like a high-school boys' locker room. But at least all of our tuxes DID fit correctly though they weren't the correct styles.

Location: Zona Rosa

We had some anxiety about the tuxes because things always seem to go wrong. The only problems we had were that one of the tuxes ended up at the wrong store after we explicitly told them it should at their Zona Rosa location. They got it to the correct store in time for pick up. They also put the usher’s tux under the wrong name and it took a long time to find it. We had to wait for a very long time for any service when we went to pick it up. I was ready to unleash bridezilla but they found it and everything fit (with a few minor adjustments). We had a very good experience overall.

A ~~ We had minimal problems with MW. We worked with the Olathe and Zona Rosa locations but I think Zona Rosa was the best one from what my DH said. My nephew was measured wrong but they worked it all out. Everything fit on the day of and was fine. I was impressed that they give you a pair of black socks! Great idea! Good quality tuxes, the guys liked them.

B ~~ Tuxes were on time, even early on a couple of them, however upon inspection prior to leaving the store with them, we found all the vests were stained and the ascots had tie-pins that were missing or broken. Just not a great quality-control situation. However, they immediately FedEx'd all the replacement items the next day and shipped them to a store closer to our home. The men in the wedding party looked incredible when all was said and done.
From: violetfemme

Location: Independence

A ~~ We used the Independence location and found them to be very helpful. We couldn't decide between them or After Hours. We were much more impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff at Men's Wearhouse that the decision ultimately became very easy. The colors we chose were purple for Steve and the ringbear, black for the groomsmen and my dad, silver for the ushers. The only negative is that my dad's shoes were not in the bag and he didn't discover this until he was getting dressed. Now, all the men had been told to try the tux on in the store to make sure everything fits properly and is in the bag. Had he followed directions, he would have discovered this and not had this little problem. Apparently, there was not a problem getting the shoes because my dad was there for pictures when he was supposed to be and I didn't even find out about this little detail until later. Very pleased with the service here.

A ~~ The consultant at Priscilla of Boston was great. We had a good time and it wasn't a high-pressure situation. Dress was shipped on time and was packaged wonderfully. I saved lots of money because they were having a sample sale and I didn't have to pay tax, but I think their dresses normally start at $2,000?

Wedding dress/BM dresses/Tuxes

B ~~ Nolte’s has a nice selection of wedding dresses of varying costs. The women at the shop are friendly and did a nice job helping me try on lots of different dresses before I found my dress. I ended up purchasing a dress designed by Michael Nolte, the owner. I loved my dress. However, at my final fittings the dress seemed a bit loose on top. The lady that does alterations at Nolte’s, Candy, told me that it was fine and that “the dress wasn’t going anywhere.” I wish I had stood my ground and asked her to take another inch out of the top because by the ceremony, the dress was so stretched out and I was constantly pulling it up. There are a few pictures from the reception that I am bummed about because you can tell the dress is so stretched out on top. I also wasn’t thrilled with the bustle—I just thought it was very plain and I was expecting something a bit more dramatic with a French bustle. Candy said there was nothing she could do about it since I only had a chapel train—there just wasn’t much material to work with so maybe there wasn’t anything she could do but I was disappointed with her nonetheless. We had a good experience with the BM dresses—they were all altered at other places but we brought them to Nolte’s the day before the wedding to be steamed. One of the bm’s picked up the dresses Sat. morning and there were no issues.

DH says he does not recommend going through Nolte’s for tuxes because they are overpriced and he was disappointed with the quality of the shirts. Apparently they also gave him a hard time about exchanging his pants when there was a problem with the fly not closing properly (although they did eventually exchange the pants). He says that if we could do it over, he would go through a tux place that actually carries tuxes in stock.

Dress: Watters & Watters (bridesmaid gown style #9826)

Love my dress more than life itself. Well, maybe not quite that much...but close. I tried on a million bridal gowns but I didn’t feel like myself in any of them. I was a very "non-traditional" bride and I wanted something to reflect that. When I found my dress online…... knew it was the one for me. I didn’t even need to try it on...but when I did...I couldn’t wait to order it.

I had no problems with Nolte’s. Had I known some of the things I know now, I may not have ordered my dress from there (even though they are the only place in town that carried it…I would have ordered online). What’s done is done, though…and they gave me great service.

Monique Lhuillier Sash

C ~~ I was in and out to order the sash, but the gal that I dealt with was generally rude and standoffish. When she ordered my sash, she never asked my size or measured my waist. As such, the sash was too big, and I had to fold it over some of the beadwork when I tied it-annoying.

A++ ~~ Being my indecisive self, I waited until the last second to order my BM dresses. In fact, I called and placed my order and as we were ending the conversation, I CHANGED THE COLOR!! I had ordered champagne and then said "wait a minute, can I change my mind? I want chocolate instead." The guy was completely cool and accommodating. I got the dresses for $40 less than the salon price EACH so total savings of $160 and my dresses arrived in only 2 MONTHS!! The size charts do run large so the dresses wear waaaay too big but o-well.

A- ~~ I give them an A- because I had one dress arrive with a broken zipper. I called them and told them and they gave me a $20 credit so they made it right. Other than that, great experience and dresses arrived 1 month early.

A+ They did a great job! This whole thing was crazy though. I ordered the dresses the morning before Katrina hit and as you all probably know, this company is based in Louisiana. There was no way to contact them for a while. They couldn’t get internet or phone service for quite a while. I had ordered the dresses so early that I wasn’t worried. I knew that they had more important things to deal with than getting me my BM dresses. The crazy thing is that I still received them in 6 weeks! They worked their butts off down there to take care of their brides. The dresses looked great and fit really well.

A+ ~~ After telling AFTER HOURS how old and what sizes our RB’s were they told us it was no problem. Then when we went in for a fitting with the little guys, (3 months before the event) they informed us that my nephew was too young. The smallest they could get in would be a 3 yr. and he wouldn’t even be two! So, we freaked. Luckily someone told us about Ruffles ‘n’ Britches! They lady was so nice. It only took 6 weeks to get them in and they were perfect! Plus it $5.00 less to buy them then it was to rent them!

Sandy was fantastic with my dress and all of the bridesmaid dresses she did. My dress the hem was crooked from David's Bridal when they made it and since I am short Sandy was able to fix it. B+ ~~ The dress was absolutely beautiful, but it took FOREVER to get here! Part of the problem was I was told 4-6 weeks instead of 6-8 weeks. But, it still took closer to 10 weeks! A+ ~~ I was so incredibly impressed with RK Bridal. First of all, I was quoted $180 for these dresses ad a local bridal shop (and that was with a discount because I was supposed to purchase my dress there). I got them for $125 including shipping and tax from RK). After I placed the original order, they called me because the color I wanted was discontinued. So after some debate, I chose to go with black. They were very helpful during this process, and I got it taken care of with a relatively small amount of stress. I also had the dresses shipped to 2 different locations. They got all of the sizes correct, and all the correct dresses were shipped to the correct location. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

A/B ~~ I give them an A for my Demetrios dress, which was $500 cheaper than I found it in KC, and it was delivered in about a month. BM dresses were also cheaper than I found in any store, but it took them longer than they estimated to deliver, which is why I gave a B grade for the BM dresses.

A+ ~~ I would highly recommend RK Bridal! My dress came about 3 weeks early and was PERFECT. I saved $450 by ordering through them. The only issue I had was that my address on the confirmation email was incorrect. It said Kansas City, Maryland instead of Kansas City, Missouri (MD and MO look alike). However, it did not affect the delivery of my dress. I didn’t even notice it until the dress had already been delivered to me.

Love them. A bit of backstory - I lost a significant amount of weight between being MOH for my sister and meeting DH. In my heavier days, Sandy's treated me with kindness when I was ordering a very large bridesmaid's dress. It was quite different from experiences at other dress shops when I had been a BM for various friends. I went to them for my wedding dress, and Sandy had one in mind for me as soon as she saw me. I tried on plenty of others, but sure enough, the one she had in mind was the one. And I never would have picked it out on my own! We also found our bridesmaids' dresses there. They were great with my 8 month pregnant sister/MOH, and worked the calendar to give her as much time after the baby to get measured w/o leaving us scrambing for alterations. They also did my MIL's dress. Highly recommend.

F ~~ Well, for starters, they were just plain sh!tty! Our pictures of the guys getting ready all show their tuxes falling apart! We were treated like crap throughout the entire process. The day before the wedding, they gave each guy the wrong tuxedo. Luckily we were talking about the tuxes the night of the rehearsal and we realized not one of them was the correct tux. We were just treated terribly and the funniest part was that the President called me the Friday before the wedding and assured me everything would work out. We probably would have went somewhere else if he wouldn't have called and lied to us and said things were fine. Needless to say, the boys were late to the hall because they had to spend their morning exchanging their tuxes and waiting for someone to open the store for us. Really convenient for a tuxedo place to be closed on Saturday night and Sunday! We mainly used them because DH was hell-bent on getting his tuxes from a place that didn't just hand you a book and say "Pick something out" and walk away - and that's what every other place did for us. I contacted the BBB after the wedding and ended up getting reimbursed for the entire amount we spent.
Here is a picture of my sister, spending most of the morning sewing the tuxedos back together. And a picture of my FIL after yet another piece of the tux falls off.

A ~~ The only problem we ran into was in the fitting of the guys. My dad had to get a different tux because the person that measured him didn't know what they were doing. It wasn't a problem though because they had a new jacket in the next day. They were good to work with and had a good selection.

The only reason I'm giving her a B is because she was supposed to have my dress dry cleaned but sold her business and left town so I couldn't get a hold of her to get it dry cleaned. I had to pay $100 to another place to have it cleaned.

A ~~ Not one problem with fittings and considering only 4 guys actually went into the store (the rest mailed or called in), they did awesome. They were easy to work with when it came time to pick them up and they are warehoused locally so if there had been problems we had until noon the day of the wedding to be able to get things fixed!!!
